therapy for creatives
Hey, I’m Carina.
If you feel lost and uncertain, you're not alone. If you’re struggling to navigate the complexities of life, I hear you. If you need a safe space to cry, be curious, or simply explore your thoughts and emotions: I hope you find it here. If you need to speak the things that are weighing on your heart and mind but aren’t sure how, we will figure it out together.
Specialities
Trauma
Are you tired of experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions like anger, shame, depression, and disconnection? Exploring how past experiences are affecting you presently? Therapy can help you to heal the parts of you that have been hurt and need tending to.
Body Image
Stuck in the cycle of trying to change, fix or control your body? Exhausted from patterns of dieting, an inner critic, and difficulty feeling comfortable as you are? Together we can explore your relationship to your body and start creating more inner peace. I am informed by a health at every size and intuitive eating model.
LGBTQ+ Issues
Do you need support around coming out, navigating transitions, or exploring your gender or sexual identity? Are you currently delving into and examining your relationship to yourself, your community, and others in your life? As a queer therapist, I love supporting folks around LGBTQ specific issues.
About
I love working with spiritual, creative, artistic weirdos who live and love outside the box. Perhaps you’ve ended up here because you're feeling lost, disconnected, and struggling to find your groove in the world. I bet there are also ways that you are yearning to express yourself; to be deeply seen and supported.
I am passionate about meeting you where you are, and will show up in the therapy room as my authentic self. Our sessions will be filled with curiosity, humor, warmth and consent. I strive for therapy to be a safe, non-judgemental and anti-oppressive space for everyone. My approach centers on a multicultural and social justice lens—meaning that my work embraces cultural identities, social locations, and the broader contexts of your lived experience. I will approach our work together with compassion, joyful expression, and collaboration. It is from this space that I believe change can occur.
More about me: I’m a white, cisgender bisexual woman and I grew up in the Midwest. I was raised religious and now identify as spiritual. Outside the office, I spend my time making music, building my vinyl collection, traveling and perfecting my pasta recipes. I’m a cancer sun who loves hugging trees, swimming in the cold California ocean, and hanging out with my 3 cats.

Therapy helps process challenging experiences and emotions, aiding in adjustments to change. Together, we will build acceptance and compassion for yourself. My goal is to create a safe space and therapeutic alliance which enables you to explore things like disconnection, ambivalence, and anger while recognizing your strengths and resilience. We will learn and honor the things that have gotten you to where you are now, while finding the spaces where growth is needed. Over time, I hope you will integrate new ways of being and relating.

Together, we can explore:
Body Image: Healing from eating disorders, improving your relationship to food, and increasing body acceptance. I use a health-at-every-size approach and intuitive eating model.
Anxiety: Identifying root causes and triggers while teaching practical coping strategies. We’ll explore how anxiety affects you and develop tools to manage stress, increase self-compassion, and feel grounded.
Depression: Depression can feel like a heavy fog. We’ll explore the parts of you that feel stuck in negativity, shame, or hopelessness, and work toward healing the underlying wounds they hold. Building internal compassion can create a more balanced self.
Neurodivergence: Whether you're struggling with executive dysfunction, emotional challenges, or long-term masking, therapy should be a space where you can unmask and connect with what feels supportive to you.
Trauma: Trauma can deeply impact your emotional and mental well-being. We’ll work in a safe, compassionate, and consent-oriented space to process your experiences and regain control.
LGBTQ+: LGBTQ+ affirming therapy celebrates your identity. I aim to provide an inclusive environment for queer, trans, and gender-expansive individuals to heal from past experiences, connect more with their emotions, and embrace their authentic selves. I support and celebrate your unique identity: whether you’re exploring gender, sexuality, mental health concerns, or anything else.
